About me

But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

(Gal 6:14)

But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong;God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, 29so(AS) that no human being might boast in the presence of God. And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written,"Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord."

(1 Cor 1:27)

It's hard for me to talk about myself without mentioning God so I'll just start with that. Life's full and good as it should be - not filled with the quicksilver fruitless pursuit of happiness, but solidly rooted in the promises and unchanging nature of God.

The God who is there is the God who is eternal, who is just, holy, compassionate and whose love endures forever.

Under the shadow of that I kneel, knowing that without Him I am nothing; there is nothing I have that I did not first receive - and by His grace I have my life, my family, my intellect and imagination, my dreams.

I'm (to quote Anne Frank), a bundle of contradictions. I have my daydreams of worlds unknown, stars and suns wheeling about but on most days, you'll find me wandering about my office, trailing fantasies of what to have for lunch/dinner. I work in room with big glass windows, love the sun pouring in and wish I could star gaze in Singapore the way I used to when I lived in Australia.

I lived in Melbourne, Australia for 4.5 years :) It's a gracious, bustly city filled with people who love food and life. It has its pretty side, its bohemian quarters and is never the same from one minutes to the next. Just look here.

Trash talking about anyone/smut. My sister reads this blog. My church mates read this blog. Plus. I don't even want to think like that let alone talk/blog like that.
